Unfortunately, these democratic principles have been on a steady decline lately. In Poland, principles of rule of law and European values continue to be disregarded, accompanied with numerous controversial justice reforms and countless human rights infringements. In this webinar, we will focus on the issues related to rule of law in Poland, including the current controversial justice reforms. How did the Polish judiciary system almost completely lose its independence? What influence does the reformed judiciary have on Polish citizens? How should the EU respond to visible breaches of judicial neutrality? What can member states and their citizens do to stop the decline of freedom in Poland?
